Just a little something to wind down.
The guys over at WhenTheyGetOlder.co.uk have just relaunched the site. The redesign was done my good friend Jimmy Greenwood, and features a bunch of new illustrations from yours truly. Here's just a few of my favourite.
Just for fun, here's a poster for Battlestar Galactica. The show has a distinctly dark colour palette and I intentionally wanted to explore something a little lighter.
I originally wanted to make these into a fun little website (and who knows I might still do it!) but for now here are the last 3 years Wimbledon Winners as badges.
It's been way too long since I did anything with Historical Fiction. After recording some demos at The Lodge Studios in Northampton a few years back, I put HF on the back burner. With some new material written, I figure now is time to start working towards an EP. I was inspired to go the photographic route with the sleeve design after rediscovering some photos I took on the Scottish island of Mull.
Last year I created a marque to celebrate Andy Murray gettting to the final of Wimbledon 2012. I liked elements of the marque but on reflection it felt like it needed development. Andy's Wimbledon win last Sunday felt like the perfect time to revisit it. Nice one Andy!
Usually the first sketch of any project a mess of unfathomable lines and shapes. In this (rare!) instance the first sketch turned out to be pretty close to the final project. This literate little chap is part of a suite of characters for a primary school. More details coming soon.
A few years ago I did some sketches of scenes inspired by book four of Stephen King's Dark Tower series. I was always pretty pleased with the tone of the sketches but they were very rough (and had a crazy halftone thing going on). With some free time on my hands I decided to vectorise the sketches and use them as the basis for two Dark Tower inspired book posters. Purely for fun of course.
A chilled out, laid back dragon I created for a St George's day festival in Brentwood.
Adding some movement to a couple of the illustrations I created for WhenTheyGetOlder.co.uk
